Artist Talk this Friday
As part of her short stay at Delfina Foundation, Hajra Waheed will talk about her work and latest exhibition at Green Cardamon, The Scrapbook Project. The evening will be moderated by Hammad Nasar (Green Cardamom) and hosted at Delfina Foundation on Friday, 3 February 2012 at 18:30.

ArteEast Quarterly Residencies Issue
Launched at Gasworks last month, ArteEast's Quarterly was guest edited by Aaron Cezar, Director of Delfina Foundation.

The ArteZine attempts to add to current debate and dialogue around residencies with a series of critical and personal reflections and provocations, while bringing together some of the existing resources and references. To read the ArteZine please

Current residents in London and Dubai
Pedram Baldari (Iran) and Babak Golkar (Canada) are both in residence as part of a partnership with Magic of Persia and a collaboration with the V&A Museum.

Ahmet Ogut will be arriving this month for the first of three residency visits this year as part of a collaboration with Tate Learning.

A.i.R. Dubai is underway with 
Zeinab Al Hashemi (UAE), Hadeyeh Badri (UAE), Fayçal Baghriche (Algeria/France), Alexandra MacGilp (UK), Magdi Mostafa (Egypt), Nasir Nasrallah (UAE) and Deniz Uster (Turkey/Scotland). To hear first-hand perspectives on Deniz's residency, please visit read blog.

New residency in Muscat 
Delfina Foundation is pleased to announce a new residency in Muscat, Oman in partnership with the British Council, Omani Fine Art Society and Beit al Zubair.  

Dillwyn Smith (UK) has been selected through a nomination process for a two-part residency over this Winter/Spring.

Current activities by former residents 
Decolonizing Architecture Art Residency (DAAR) exhibits A Common Assembly, a project which involved former residents Nishat Awan and Cressida Kocienski, at Nottingham Contemporary until 15 April 2012.

Manal al-Dowayan in Edge of Arabia's latest exhibition We Need to Talk (Jeddah) until 18 February 2012.

Amina Menia in Synchronicity II, a group exhibition at Tiwani Contemporary (London) until 17 March 2012. More info please

Previous resident Mahmoud Bakhshi Moakhar and forthcoming residents Shirin Sabadi and Ghazaleh Hedayat in The Elephant in the Dark, an exhibition drawn from the collection of the
