Charmi Gada Shah's exhibition titled Neighbourhood Souvenirs includes works which could be defined as 'architectural sculptures', carefully constructed with salvaged wood and tiles from different demolished buildings in her neighbourhood, combined with construction materials such as concrete blocks and plaster.

Sujith SN's exhibition of watercolours titled Psalms of an Invisible River speaks in a tongue of Holbeinesque metaphors and meanings. The large format works on paper present a world that is both poetic and apocalyptic, and sets the stage for narratives on humanity's relationship with the world and its various other inhabitants.

ONSITE - A PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP WITH RANG AT DELHI PHOTO FESTIVAL 2013

This photography workshop conducted by Rang, a Delhi-based artist community, will emphasize on the 'how' of photography. The workshop also includes a guided tour of the Delhi Photo Festival 2013 and a session of Open Library, where photography books will be shared and discussed.

ILA DALMIA RESEARCH GRANT 2013

Deadline extended to 21 September 2013

FICA invites applications for the Ila Dalmia FICA Research Grant 2013, instituted by FICA with the help of art historian and writer Yashodhara Dalmia in the memory of her sister Ila Dalmia, aims to provide an annual grant to support research on Indian modern and contemporary art.

The grant will be for a sum of Rs. 2 lakhs and will focus on encouraging independent research by students and scholars in India.
