"'Lay of the Land: A work in Progress' treats shared histories and relatable socio-political contexts within South Asia as a point of departure to chart the lived experiences of artists, consequently rendering political borderlines as superfluous," says Anushka Rajendran, curator of the show to Georgina Maddox in The Hindu Business Line.

t was refreshing to read Somak Ghoshal's review: "...Latitude 28 gallery has a larger, more ambitious, selection to offer in The Lay Of The Land, which includes artists from Sri Lanka, who are relatively less visible on the city's art scene, alongside those from Pakistan and India. To bring together participants from across the subcontinent in such a gathering is to suggest, perhaps inescapably, a political context and frame to view their work from."
