SAATCHI GALLERY

A CURRICULUM OPEN CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

A Foundation artist residency The Blade Factory, A Foundation, Greenland Street, Liverpool In association with Saatchi Online

In March 2010 A Foundation Liverpool will launch its new intensive residency programme A Curriculum. Eight artists will be provided with studio space in The Blade Factory for a period of two months.

During A Curriculum, studio time will be assisted by series of discussions from visiting art professionals who are active as artists, gallerists, collectors, commissioners or curators. These sessions will give the residents the opportunity to discuss the varied ways in which artists sustain their practice, building a detailed picture of the artist within the wider professional context. A Curriculum offers resident artists insights into how the various facets of the art world interrelate, while simultaneously providing a space for the dynamic production of new work.

The deadline for applications is 4th January 2010. The A Curriculum will run from 8th March – 2nd May 2010. Submissions will be processed in association with Saatchi Online. All applications should be made at http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/acurriculum
