Fwd: Darpana Vikram Sarabhai International Arts Festival





 

The high point of Ahmedabad's art season, InterArt: The Vikram Sarabhai International Arts Festival will be held  on December 28th, 29th and 30th at Darpana's amphi-theatre, Natarani. In its 34th year, the festival will premiere new collaborative work.

 

 

The schedule is

Dec. 28th   Ahmedabad ki Aurat Bhali: Ramkali

 

Mallika Sarabhai and the Darpana Performing Group in Amitabh Srivastav's adaptation of Bertolt Brescht's Good Woman of Setzuan

Dec. 29th   Performance by Dakshina/Daniel Phoenix Singh

 

Dakshina/Daniel Phoenix Singh Dance Company is an emerging dance company that performs and presents Indian dance forms, such as Bharata Natyam, and Modern dance, mirroring the multiple identities of second generation South Asians. The company combines the arts with social justice issues both by incorporating the themes into our work and via partnerships with local community centers and schools.

 

Dec. 30th   Naada: A Happening

 

A sensual, sensory experimental journey of sound, light, movement, words, images, colour and smell.
