Fwd: Residency support open for applications

Support for artists' residences

Artists' residences, which offer working facilities for professional artist and cultural operators, can now apply for funding from the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme.

The programme supports Nordic and Baltic residences, which receive professional artists and culture practitioners from other Nordic and Baltic countries. The residences are granted funding for covering the costs of receiving two to four artists during the two-year period. The grants cover travel expenses, board and lodging for approximately two months.

Please note that only residences can apply for funding from the programme. The funded residences will then choose the visiting artists.

In order to be eligible the residency needs to work with professional artists and cultural operators on a regular basis and have an objective to support innovative artistic work. The residency also needs to have a capacity to work with several artists at the same time and be engaged in cooperation with the local art scene.

The deadline for applications is 24 February 2010.

Please note that this is the only application round for artists' residency funding in 2010 and 2011.

Applications are submitted through an electronic application form, which is posted on Nordic Culture Point's website
