Top Stories 2010 Juried Exhibition Series Chapel Hill Town Hall, Chapel Hill, NC USA United States of America Kingdom of Ife: Sculptures from West Africa British Museum, London, UK The Cat's Meow - an Exhibition and Fundraiser to Feature Work by Claudette Losier Intolerant Gallery, Hamilton, ON CA Canada It Started With Eve : A Juried Exhibition with Elizabeth Lasley National Association of Women Artists, New York, NY USA United States of America | 2010 Juried Exhibition Series Chapel Hill Town Hall, Chapel Hill, NC USA United States of America This exhibit is part of the Chapel Hill 2010 Juried Exhibition Series and runs from March 2 through April 29, 2010. The exhibiting artists are Leen Elnaccash, Hampton R. Olfus, Jr., Sudie Rakusin, and Ann Roth. The exhibit is open to the public. The Public Arts Office organizes an annual Juried Exhibitions Series each year for Chapel Hill Town Hall and The Chapel Hill Public Library to showcase artwork by established and emerging artists. Approximately ten indoor exhibitions are organized throughout the year featuring a wide range of artistic media, including both two- and small three-dimensional artwork. Hampton R. Ife is today regarded as the spiritual heartland of the Yoruba people living in Nigeria, the Republic of Benin and their many descendants around the world. The exhibition will feature nearly 100 superb pieces of Ife sculpture, most of which have never been seen in the UK before, and have been drawn almost entirely from the magnificent collections of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments, Nigeria. Opening Night will be Saturday March 6th at 7pm. This Exhibition is the brainchild of Claudette Losier and Zorica Krasulja, both of whom are avid cat fanciers. They have invited other artists who share their love for the cat to participate in this exhibition. Those artists are: Theresa Dinsmore, Carolyn Endacott, Gis�le Grenier, Emma Moumblow Hewitson, Heather Horton, Amanda McKinney, Joan Moumblow, Cathy Peng, Patricia Robertson, Lauren Sehdev, Laurie Woods and James Wylie.
