Saffron art speaker series

This discussion is part of a series of interactive seminars hosted around the world by Saffronart, as part of its efforts to increase awareness and broaden the discourse surrounding modern and contemporary Indian art. The panel discussion coincided with the Frieze Art Fair (15 – 18 October, Regent's Park), a showcase of contemporary art in London. In this panel, the participants engaged with the words ‘Modern’ and ‘Contemporary’ and explored how they fit with Indian art, in order to gain a more comprehensive insight into the ways in which Indian art is classified and understood.
